We’re excited to announce that the $KERNEL Airdrop early checker is now live! Season 1 concluded on 31st Dec 2024, and users who earned points/miles till then are eligible for 10% of the total $KERNEL supply allocated as Season 1 rewards. 

$KERNEL Utility:

$KERNEL is more than a governance token - it plays an active role in securing the ecosystem:

• Restaking Security – Users can stake $KERNEL to secure applications in KernelDAO’s ecosystem.

• Slashing Insurance – Staked $KERNEL acts as economic collateral against slashing risks.

• Governance – Vote on key decisions across Kernel, Kelp, and Gain, including protocol upgrades, fees, etc.

Season 1 Airdrop: Allocation and Eligibility

To ensure fair distribution, we partnered with human.tech by Holonym for extensive Sybil analysis. This process has helped us filter out Sybils and ensure that only genuine users receive rewards. Qualified participants that earned at least 150 Kernel Points/Kelp Grand Miles (with ~0.04 ETH or ~$100 USD worth of ETH restaked during Season 1) will receive at least 100 $KERNEL tokens for each eligible wallet.

Wallets that do not meet the minimum points requirement for Season 1 (150 Kernel Points/Kelp Grand Miles) will have their Season 1 points moved to Season 2 to help with future airdrops.

2. Connect Your Wallet: Ensure it’s the wallet used during Season 1.

3. Verify Address: Sign a message from your wallet to verify your address

4. Review Your Status: Check your eligibility status and details of your rewards

Looking Ahead

Season 1’s airdrop marks the beginning of KernelDAO’s token distribution strategy. As we move closer to the Token Generation Event (TGE) planned for early April, 2025, further opportunities to earn rewards will be announced.
